jimsioi ? re: ["Gold at this time $387.25"]

I thought you were better than this....

...but, obviously I was wrong - and don't you wish that damn SI 15 minutue Edit window lasted all day (vbg) ?

How's that song go about "I spoke too soon" ... ?

re:

1. ["At the current time I notice those most long metal and miners are making the most money, having the best time..."]

- WRONG ! Those that have already DUMPED/EXITED - have made the most money (as you can't "make it" untill you ring that cash register and sell it - folks !)and THEY are having the most fun - because they have something to REALLY celebrate about !

Once again, we hit HUI 150 the first time last May 2002, nearly a damn year ago !

The question begs to be asked Jim...just HOW much damn "fun" can they be having with "0" index points made in the last damn year !?!?!?

And where the "correctionalist" barbs started was at HUI 146 2ish weeks ago - what "fun" are they celebrating there my man ?

The "Deer in Sinclair-Headlight Bulls" *TM (I'm trade marking that one (VBG) ...here on this thread, have huge time & opportunity loss given those facts above.

They've also added exponential RISK at the samn damn HUI 150 level as compared to HUI 150 last May.

And other than an occassional sanguine "trim a bit of profits" call last May/June 2002 and "add post $325" (which was WRONG) as they missed the July, Aug & Oct HUI pullback/BUYING-Re-Entry Opps if the call was to re-add on strength when Gold broke $325+.

The PLAY was to have sold into the end of May 2001 HUI parabolic run and re-enter/re-buy the July, Aug & Oct HUI dips based on the rising underlying fundamentals for POG, even though POG collapsed from $320ish to $305 in July's re-entry opp, from $315 to $305 in Aug's re-entry opp and from $320 to $310ish this past October.

The play was to buy the HUI's pullbacks, not POG's Breakouts !

...and now THE play is to sell the HUI's breakout (AGAIN!)- and NOT to wait for POG's breakout to rollover.

PS: ...do ya kinda be thinkin' ole' Mr. Sinclair (with all due respect) maybe has kind of a little FREEKIN CONFLICT of $@#+=~&! INTEREST in pumping the GOLD BULL HERE !?!?!?!!?

C'Mon people... ?

2. ["Gold at its highest level in 10 years in JAPAN"]

- you're really reaching there Good Buddy...

3. ["Does Gold need more speculative marginable vehicles that point and clickers, NASDAQ hacks can play ....CEF the closed end fund has a premium over 20% now."]

- established an initial SHORT position in CEF today fwiw.
And obviously you guys didn't learn your lessons on what it means when the speculative vehicles start getting launched, hyped & promoted...ie: does this happen at the early, or late, end-stage of a cycle ?

3. ["Best of a good Wednesday morning to you....Gold at this time $387.25...."]

- once again; you like many here are suffering from pre-mature celebratory-elation...as you rather obviously spoke a bit TOOOOOOOOO00000oooooo soon there, now didn't you (VBG)?

...but, at least we got you off of STRADDLIN' the FENCE of late - in trying to play both sides of the fence (Bull/Bear) over the last 2 weeks; now didn't we Jimmie-boy (VBG)?

PS: Did you see this tid-bit from my old friend Jimmie C ?

The Only Bull Market Going Now: Gold
Wednesday February 5, 3:00 pm ET

By James J. Cramer,

I just surveyed a bunch of people about the prospects for gold stocks. These were traditional managers, those who could tell me the ins and outs of a Cisco conference call without hesitation, the types who hang on every word out of KLA-Tencor and Applied Materials. I asked them if this isn't the chance to get started building gold positions, in stocks like Newmont (NYSE:NEM - News) or Glamis (NYSE:GLG - News), which are down and can be bought rather easily.

To a person, these folk laughed at the suggestion, pointing out that once war begins, these stocks and the metal itself will be crushed.
