Regarding your experience with Waterhouse.

I checked with my Waterhosue rep. on margain funds and got a different answer. I had a short position on margain and then covered it the next day. He said I could trade with those margain funds immidiately after I covered the short....Basically my buying power was back after covering the short.

That's what he said anyway.
