So though the market put in a bottom in 1974 the public still continued to withdraw money out of the market till 1979.

All the while, baby boomers will be reaching retirement age, further increasing withdrawals from mutual funds over the next three decades...

This has the makings of a depression-style bear market in which new highs were not achieved until thirty/forty years after (inflation adjusted).
