A, B, Cs -- Australia, Bhutan and Corporatism

Pig-headed move to immoral militarism decried by democrats down under.

On the gentle state of Bhutan.........

Re: The problem with the Bhutan GDH is that it's determined by the King!

But how do you know that? I know something different. That the GDH scale was created by some clever civil servants in Bhutan who see the good of society as being more important than the good of a corporate elite. Making a mockery of the perpetual lie in America that we have a "democracy".

The King of Bhutan is a benevolent benefactor to his people.

The President of the U.S. is a malevolent master of his.

You do see the difference, right?

Labor frontbencher Mark Latham accused Government MPs of blindly following US President George W. Bush into war.

"There they are: a conga line of suckholes on the conservative side of Australian politics," Mr Latham said.

Maurice, I'm not familiar with the parlance down your way. What, exactly, is a "suckhole"? It sounds rather more insulting than "brown-nosed poodle", but I can't quite be certain.
