This will be my last post on this topic. You may be interested in the logging issue in particular and maybe you are "missing the forest" because of that. It was my impression that one of the major reasons for the spread of wildfires is the overgrowth of underbrush in those forests, which occurs when too much of the old growth is destroyed, allowing more light to foster growth on the forest floor. So that would mean it wasn't a case of too many trees in those forests that burned, there weren't enough.

I showed you links to issues that concern me. But these two quotes of yours say it all:
