You really have a problem with democracy, don't you?

I actually was in favor of abolition of the Electoral College until the '00 election, at which time I learned why it existed. I had believed it was merely a remnant of a time in which the feasibility of counting each and every vote and reporting it made necessary the "in between" step of Electors.

After the '00 election I researched the origin of the Electoral College and came to understand the Founding Fathers' had very reasonably provided it as a device insure insure the fairness of the election process. Simply put, it worked.
