Lindy, Despite what Reason has to say, I see a massive change in sentiment tonight. Lou Dobbs, always cynical about Bush, flew the flag and saluted it tonight. Lawrence Eagleberger said that war against Iraq should not be a partisan issue. David Gergen said that Powell destroyed the argument that Saddam didn't have WMD. Zbignew Brzezinski was on side with Powell. Paul Begala thought it was a great job (with a dig a Bush, but ...). I saw one analyst say that he didn't believe Powell's case and he looked a little silly tonight. Even the Canadian TV folks moved a long way towards Powell tonight. The sentiment change seems very complete and I think it will put the onus on France to justify why they are not onboard. Turkey + 10 earstern european countries came on board today. That puts the coalition at over 25 countries. Bush has done everything I asked of him now, except for paint the long term picture. I expect that in the 30 minues ago bombs began falling speech.
