i would like to point out a few things that those looking for a crash to October lows or lower may not be seeing (not saying you are ajtj). This is the fourth time we have closed at the lows on spx in lower 840 area. For whatever reason we keep finding support. If we dont crash out and break thru and start next downleg today, we will turn up and rally hard. I am looking at more of a trading range developing with the boundaries defined by 836 to 900 spx for the next few months. in a trading range you do not get the extreme vix or put call readings. you still get overbought and overssold on stuff like macd, sto etc.
i have been looking at a lot of charts lately (mostly because someone gave me a free subscription to a different chart site). i am seeing things there that arent on normal charts (custom indicators) and many are at levls of july and oct lows right now. I also see that my "normal" weekly charts are in an area where a turn could be expected. this is the reason i extend the trading range up to 900. a weekly turn usally gives 1-2 months of a rally so 900 may be low, but that is getting way ahead of things.

so in summary, if we are going to break down, today is the final straw. it is down today to new levels or we start to rally as soon as today.
