IBCL - 06 Feb 2003, 10:03 AM EST WASHINGTON, Feb 6 (Reuters) - The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday temporarily suspended the stock of International BioChemical Industries, Inc. (OTC BB:IBCL.OB - News) over questions about the company's public statements.
"Questions...have been raised about the accuracy and adequacy of publicly disseminated information that, among other things, indicated that the federal government had contacted IBCL to discuss the effectiveness of the company's products in the war on bioterrorism," the SEC said in a statement.

The company last traded on the bulletin board for 9 cents per share on Wednesday. The suspension will last until Feb. 20, the SEC said.
