The Electoral College has its functionality but its the popular vote that is most important. Well, only if you consider the metric that elects the president to be of lesser important than the one that does absolutely nothing. Duh. Democracy is about what the people want and not an anachronism like the Electoral College. Bush won the Electoral College but for the 46+ million people who voted for Gore, Bush did not win the presidency. It will be his legacy. ted
