The ocean is as inefficient as a place to take fish form as the forest was for our ancestors. They invented agriculture. Now it is time to go for acquaculture. Salmon can be much more efficiently produced if farmed.

I see a salmon, I see a source of protein. Not for some funny guys go fish them and throw them back into the water.
