phoenix,
I think one of your big risks is that your broker will close out your QQQ position assigned if your acct is underfunded/overmargined. even tho theoretically u have 3 days to settle, some brokers won't let you purchase stock unless u have the funds in the acct on the trade date. check w/ your broker. they may not even notify you in a timely matter (or at all??) that u have been assigned. the positions may just "magically appear" in your acct some morning (and disappear just that quickly by forced liquidation)... not to scare you, but if this happens some morning where QQQ gaps down bigtime on capitulation, then moonshoots, your long puts won't offset the way u think.
