Liz, while I'd take issue with your assessment that Saddam is "no immediate threat" and your conclusion that this means we need do nothing, I will say that I'd like to see this over with one way or the other ASAP. The thing holding up resolution, IMO, is the foot-dragging by France, Russia et al, which really amounts to appeasement. If appeasement is "the other", then we'll just have bigger problems down the road, partly because Saddam would be left out there in a stronger position and partly because the UN Security Council would prove its irrelevance. But if they'd back us, Britian and the many other countries already on our side, then this could be over very soon, possibly without a war.
