Question from a Member - Sharing Predictions

We have recently received a question from a member that I would like to share.

"In order to see the current predictions, I evidently have to submit my own price prediction. Generally, I don't have any prediction at all. I just want to see what others are thinking.” He wanted to know how he could use the service without contributing his own predictions.

It is a fair question that deserves some explanation.

AllPredictive is a membership-type service. In order to benefit from it, members need to actively participate, meaning they need to share their predictions. It is the sharing of predictions that creates the value. Without sharing, there is no value. I would like to point out, that we are not asking you to make the best predictions in the world, just that you make the best predictions you can. Fair enough?

The assumption we make is that people are not interested in stocks they know nothing about. Sounds obvious? People are interested in stocks that they know something about and want to ad to their research on that security / company. If that describes you, then you know something about the security / company and can make the predictions. You are not sure that these predictions will be accurate? Don't worry, you can come back and update them later.

This service needs members who will not only use the service but also contribute. I am sure that all members who do provide their predictions would say the same.

Let us know what you think and how would you deal with this issue.

Peter Braun, Co-founder, AllPredictive.
