As I have said many times before, the U.S. economy is "toast" for 2003 and many years to come.

I strongly recommend the new book "Tomorrow's Gold" by Marc Faber ... he is right on target, as are ContraryInvestor.com and Stephen Roach.

A quote from page 18 of "Tomorrow's Gold" ... " I would argue that the greater the mania in one stock, or entire market ..., the more likely it is that a burst bubble creates a permanent shift into another asset class. Therefore, I am inclined to rule out the Nasdaq and the S&P 500 as an asset class that will provide future leadership ... similarly, Western Europe stock markets ..."

I'm not hedging my words anymore ... <g>
