Now, c'mon, that's not what I said at all. Now that you mention it, though........... I'll respond in kind:

.......we could "move" all Israelis to the U.S., by adding Israel as the 51st State.

The Diaspora would truly be over, with 80% of the world's Jews in one country.

They'd have to accept Separation of Church and State. Most Israelis are secular anyway, and the biggest winner in the last election was a secular party whose platform was to reduce the power of Orthodoxy in the government.

As part of the deal, we could agree that any withdrawal from the present military frontiers, would require a majority vote by plebicite in Israel. Just in reassure them that we won't trade the Temple Mount for, say, a medium-size Saudi oil field.

The population of US/Israel would be about equal to that of all the Arab countries combined, ending the Arab dream of "We will overwhelm you with our vast numbers". The differential birthrate problem wouldn't be solved, though. Perhaps if enough Americans convert to Mormonism, get 3 wives and 33 kids each..........
