Linked below is a perfchart with some of the leading OSX stocks.

US RIG counts are now clearly moving up and are higher now than any time since the collapse in activity in 2002.

I have stressed many times that commodity prices are only a leading indicator of revenues for oil service companies. Also I have been stressing that present valuations are quite good already and consistent with valuations in the recent upcycle in 2000. I have confidence that we will see record earnings and similar valuations will likely apply through this cycle since valuations now dont appear to be so different than the last one.

If you look at the RIG counts now we are very close to the same point we were in in June 2000, assuming the RIG counts keep rising.

Stock prices now are not much different than in June 2000. I am not worried and I think my patience will be rewarded as stock prices follow RIG activity up.
