Thanks for that reference. I had not realized that the French signed the Munich Agreement, as well as Chamberlain, Hitler, Mussolini, nor that he was acclaimed by France for doing so.

Quite so.

One of these days I will have to bone up on the history of the Vichy government. Suggestions for good books welcomed.
