Yep. That's why it's so important to have control of the judiciary, if you want fully-effective control over the populace.
Like slaves, there's no recourse for BUDs (Poppy Bush's term for his favorite group, those who are easily controlled because they are "Broke, Uninformed & Depressed"), except, of course, if it goes too far and there's revolution in the streets.
Unfortunately, this is the Bananna Republic cycle - with the candy handed out by the trillions to the favored few, the fiscal chickens will come home to roost. Eventually - no more credit to be extended, no more tax and debt increases for wage-earners sinking with predatory policies. If income drops too far & the privileged stay too smug, revolution is suppressed only by the military standing in front of the privileged crust as their own private army.
Then when there's no revenues to pay the bloated military, the judiciary will help confiscate property from the tax-deficient wage-earners who haven't paid fealty, to support the army. After that, the army itself will rebel.
That's a roundabout way to go. In this country it's much easier just to vote out or impeach the secretive cabal causing the problems. |
