Rambus, huh. For a week? I think last week would have been better.

Of course, but oh well. I've owned my 100 "marker" shares of RMBS for a number of years (at $18.092), and have followed the legal hoo-ha with some interest. I was home when the appeals court ruling was announced last week, and did a little daytrading for lunch money in the $11-$13 range, but didn't have much confidence at that point. Without a technical or patent law background, the RMBS food fight thread, while sometimes entertaining, isn't very useful, so I waited until I had read the actual ruling in its entirety before jumping in. We shall see. My intention is to sell calls against some of the position to cover the interest, and in fact have also done that this week (both sold them and bought them back). I'm sure a case could be made for buying LEAPS instead of stock, but selling options has worked so well for me that I have an irrational aversion to buying them. So now I will find out how I mentally handle margin-a bigger issue in my mind than the future of this particular company.
