I rarely watch Shields and Brooks. Brooks is sometimes interesting, most often just irritable (to me); and Shields tends to flail. So I learn nothing.

I thought the French ambassador to the US had it right. First priority is Al Q; second is North Korea; and third is Iraq. In order of danger to both US and France.

Watched the first part of the Lehrer Hour, down to the half hour break and then switched to Rather. Our usual pattern. Watch the first 15 minutes of Rather and move on. The only thing that changes the pattern is if the last half of Lehrer looks as if it might be interesting.

CBS has been doing series on the drug companies and on the Red Cross which are must sees. So we check them out regularly.
