What I see are those either willing to join or snip at the one nation willing to put its treasure where its principals are!


We are obviously going through a "Sea Change" in the World Political power structure. It has been going on "sub rosa" every since the collapse of the Soviet Union, but the structural fissures have come to light since 911. We and China are going to be the two major powers out of it, I think. No one else will emerge to give us competition that I can see.

I suspect we will look back in twenty years, and say, "Ah ha! Of course this was in the cards."
