Because our laws cannot stop it.
Christ, we cannot do 'profiling', we have to watch EVERYONE'S 'rights', and I see that as a good thing to a certain extent, but I also think if you are visiting here from another country, be it arab or australia, you are under a lot more scrutiny, some laws don't apply, and that's just the way it is.
Can you imagine if our 'police' were like Israel's ? By the same token, I have a HUGE amount of respect for the Israeli government and their military. If there is one country I would never want to go to war against, it's Israel. (or China). Israel has the knowledge, training and technology, China has the technology and the people, I don't know what Russia has anymore, but I have this feeling they are 'coming back'.
What pisses me off is a lot of folks think this war game is like WW II, with a lot of hand-to-hand combat, or it's like a Football game ('We beat you, nah-nah-nee-nah-nah !') and it's not, this is high-tech high-stakes poker, where you might only get one or two hands dealt to you, and then you are done. |
