During the American Civil War, there were Southern sympathizers ALL THROUGH the North. The caused no end of trouble, both during and after the war. Should we have left slavery in place because of that?

LOL! This is almost as funny as when you had Mexico attacking the U.S.

The Civil War was not about slavery. Lincoln repeatedly stated that slavery was a side issue, and that the main issue was keeping the Union together. Obviously, we should have ended slavery peacefully, as the rest of the world did.
