I don't know, it sounds feasible to me, if Saddam would go for it. Present him with an alternative to US blitzkrieg. Send in the UN and force Saddam to get out of the way while the UN, protected by the US, either 1) gets rid of WMD, or 2) all agree that he has no WMD and lifts the sanctions and ends the No-Fly Zones.

We don't particularly want to kill a lot of Iraqis, we just want to get this shit over with and move on to the next crisis. Korea, Iran, Venezuela, we've got a lot on our plate.
