let's be blunt here: none of us care all that much about "innocent iraqis" being gassed or bludgeoned or whatever. if we really cared about needless deaths in a land far far away we'd be talking about the tribalcide going on in africa. what happened in iraq is nothing compared to that.

i DO care that saudi arabia is not only a legitimate potential threat but has actually DONE IT. nine eleven really happened. lots of people really died for no good reason. and by running with this iraqi distraction the administration is letting them get away with it.

the saudis are getting every penny's worth of administration that they paid for.

iraq did nothing to the united states. it did attack two horribly oppressive regimes - but then, isn't that what the US is trying to do?

before explaining why we are going after iraq, please explain why we are not dealing with the real, demonstrable threat posed by the saudis? and why we continue to call them "friend" and "ally"?

does oil money really talk that loudly in this administration?
