<<By the way Mikey, how have YOU done over the last three years? >>

Good question, glad you asked. Not too badly, thanks. I wasn't very happy with my largest holding, PFE. I felt like their acquisition timing could have been better.

In about July of 2000 I took 95% of my 401K and IRA's to government bonds so they did pretty well.

I was disappointed with MTXX having only sold 20% of it within a point of the top. I sold more in the 20's. I boxed the remainder in the teens and closed the box around 7. I have subsequently sold some in the 9-11 area and it now constitutes a minuscule part of my portfolio. They are zero cost basis shares, Hank. I never cared that Wexliar shorted the stock. Only that he impugned the company and the product with no particular expertise.

Since the dance hall looked like it was on fire as we approached y2k, I trimmed back to dividend payers and a few hedged positions. AMZN had me worried as I was boxed and continued to wonder when would be a good time to unbox. Finally sold the long at around 180 when it broke down the third time. I still have some short but have been closing it along the way. Today I remain very skeptical of the market and continue to hold very conservative companies, government bonds, money market and some hedged positions. I remain short and long a few small positions which I trade.

Well those are the highlights. All in all it wasn't a terrible experience. Still, it was no fun and I wish PFE hadn't been slapped around so much.

I was perfectly happy to ignore Wexler when he returned to SI. It just became too hard to do when he visited the MTXX thread and delivered his vitriolic diatribe. Hank, even you and I have figured out how to coexist, without necessarily liking each other.

At this point I haven't any real concerns about MTXX. I hope the company succeeds and still believe it will and still use the product successfully. But it will have negligible consequences on my financial condition. I will probably always, however, have trouble ignoring the intrusion of a heavy handed blow hard self promoter who finds it necessary to invade my domain. It would appear to me that Wexler would be better served to remain on his own thread touting his stock picks and leave the bashing to others. But WDIK.

You guys can have the thread back now.
