Bill would grant citizenship to 8,000 in O'odham Tribe "If the bill is passed and signed into law by President Bush, tribal members who were born in the United States but can't prove it, or born in Mexico to American parents and can't prove it, will be granted rights denied them for generations." azstarnet.com FWIW, it's my understanding that the O'odham reservation on the Arizona/Mexico border is a major entry point for illegal immigrants coming into the country. I have a feeling that the tribe's numbers will swell significantly if this bill is passed. ; )
