Yes, it has. I often wonder why peace activists think that accusing the US of hypocrisy will have any effect on Bush's war plans. It won't. Assuming, for the sake of the argument, that the US did arm Saddam years ago, Dubya didn't do it, and he's more than happy to clean up the mess, whoever made it.

Other losing arguments -

- It's all about oil.
- You just want to finish what daddy started.
- George W. Bush is the next Hitler.

The only argument that could possibly work is -

- You'll do more harm than good.

Backed up with concrete evidence.

But what he's hearing, the people who have his ears, through his trusted advisors, are Iraqi defectors, Kurds, and other victims of Saddam asking him to save the people of Iraq.

And he sees that most of the loudest "peace activists" are retreads of the old "blame America first" crowd. The ones who accused Clinton, Blair and NATO of war crimes in Kosovo and Bosnia. The ones who love Slobodan Milosovic. The ones who support Palestine against Israel, Saddam against the Kurds, and never met a dictator they didn't like.

So, no, he doesn't listen to them.
