<< South American and Central America are testaments to our "aide" and "assistance" in the freedom department >> At least America tries to further democracy and freedom. America could have been a brutal dictatorship, as bad as Stalin, Hitler or Mao. By some freak of nature, America became the most successful, and democratic, nation of the world. We don't always get the best leaders, but you can't blame all of the world problems on America. We've had successful foreign policy initiatives, and one's that didn't work out so good. We can't force another country to have a competitive and successful democracy, and we shouldn't be blamed when people screw up their own countries.
