so this is like when you have a trust fund and the administrator runs around
spending your money, and maybe just maybe he give your monthly allowance?
just checking to see if i'm clear on the concept.

i read an article awhile back in one of the financial magazines (don't remember
which one) on the red tape and difficulties native american tribes had to go
through to be "allowed" to start a business. i don't save magazines so i wouldn't
be able to retrieve it, but it sounds like you might have some knowledge
of the issue.

thanks for the hawaii info. it would be difficult to work something like this
out, even without racism and lots of money involved. it does seem that if they
have land held in trust, perhaps they could be considered big boys and girls now
and "be given" control of it.
