I am not sure if all people here truly understand what these women did, to express their distaste for what their Prime Minister did, the support of Bush's war.. His support which brought him, a vote of no confidence, one of the first, if not the first in the proud history of Australia, one of my favorite places on Earth.... ...
If the establishment people could get beyond the sensationalism (to them the nudity, of course), they could really understand....
That these proud, courageous women, were willing to risk their own embarrassment, maybe their careers, and most of all, maybe their own inherent values and mores to show their distaste for their leader's statement.. It probably wasn't easy for a lot of them.. Because many, probably most have never disrobed in public before.. It is a STRONG STATEMENT..
Like the women of Marin County, California did a month or two ago..
I applaud them ALL to the NTH degree..
