I certainly hope so.
The US has to convince only one man -and that is Saddam- that we are ultimate macho and that Bush is
truly the "loose cannon" and is so angry he will attack regardless of what the UN or others think.
Convincing Saddam that these traits are real is the only thing short of war that will change his
attitude and make him face the fact he must disarm. He totally dismisses the UN.
The slightest indication that we are "faking it" ( the aggressive attitude) and the game is lost.
I am happily convinced. The UN is acting as tho they are convinced ( by their unusually fast
actions and meeting schedules)
So things are going "swimmingly" so far.
If Saddam is truly willing to sacrifice his 100 Palaces by being so stubborn, he must have greater
plans- most likely related to extending his favorite hobbies of WMD's and military power.
And its better to crush those plans before he obtains global capabilities
