If you don't use them now...then when...? We're learning that lesson too. A good friend's mom was an antique dealer in Iowa years and years ago.....So many many many beautiful items that our friends now have fallen heir to...including original Chippendale furniture, museum quality china and crystal and silver, etc etc.

She taught all of us to use whatever we had....One time we went over there and there were two twisted up spoons sitting on the cupboard....had gone through the disposal by mistake....both were old but beautiful stirling pieces....

She said however much she hated that happened, by using the pieces every day and enjoying them, it gave so much more pleasure. Her kids like some of the old pieces, but don't want the furniture, and most of the "old stuff"....so she's going to give much of it to the museum and sell some. In the meantime....she said....use it!!
