I do not disagree.

I would just say that the better plans have exit plans, especially with regards to loss minimisation.
I would just, personally, not classify ignoring things as a sensible exit plan.

Even if you throw darts at a board, an exit plan for stop-losses will get you a lot further than simply praying.
Prayer - this is basically what ignoring reality boils down to. Faith that some external effect will resolve a situation, favourably, that you have abdicated responsibility from.

For me I just cover my downside, and let any upside look after itself. But we all have our styles.
Who knows? It may just work.
