<<It will be interesting to see what happens when we get documents from Iraq that show Chirac had his hand in the cookie jar. I am sure he did. Will we divulge, or hold it over his head? Watch for a drastic change in attitude on his part if we have him by the balls. >>

And Cheney and Halliburton didn't have their hands in the cookie jar? Please let's not split hairs. Maybe it depends on what your definition of cookie jar is.

<<We are in a major war, and the "Fog" is one of our best weapons. Never let them know for sure what's coming. >>

And another thing. The only fog I see is the one around President Bush's Administration. One of my main objections to all this is the apparent incompetence of this CEO crowd.

Remember last summer at Crawford when President Bush spoke of war with Iraq? Up until last week he still says he hasn't decided. A good manager balances what he says to the public against the plans and chances for success of the plans. I've said before his acts like he is on Star Trek and tells the staff to make it "so" when he doesn't even know what "so" means.

Unfortunately he has paralyzed every aspect of a functional America. And I am unhappy at the number of times he has made the USA look foolish and faltering.

He had to back down:
going to congress
going to the UN
agreeing to go to UN again
because the troops were not ready to invade
smoking gun proof
Powell's UN presentation based on bogus British intelligence.

And he will have to back down when France and Germany make their proposals for invasion of inspectors and UN support rather thatn invasion of US troops.

Your last hope is to hang on to the idea that all is going well because the fog of war is being used by the Administration as part of their strategy. What strategy? Exactly what is or has been this Administration's strategy since last summer? Is it all going as they have planned or are they constantly in a box, forced to be reactive and hostile to anybody who refuses to make it "SO".
