Amazing... I just sat here and watch Madeline Albright (and tapes of Bill Clinton) stating effectively the same thing in 1998 that Bush has been saying now... But Albright is trying to claim that the "war on terrorism" is more important than removing Saddam.. As if Saddam is not part and parcel to spreading regional terrorism (and not just Al Qaeda related groups) and not a primary contributor to the advancement of terrorism in the region.. Just amazing... And then at the end she shows a bit of "contrition" by stating that she understands many folks would think she's just someone who's second guessing those who replaced her.. (just as she would listen to her predecessors criticize her).. At least she acknowledges that these decisions are not easy... But NO WHERE did I once hear her recommend an alternate policy approach.. Just criticism and warnings about what we shouldn't do.. Hawk
