A few thoughts,
It seems Jay took his own life. Although many things must have exacerbated his depression to the point of hopelessness, one factor may have been the inablity to trade this market. His passing is hard for his family, and for me personally.
Life is precious, and people care. I care. The market can be depressing, and has been for years. But things will change, and we will recover, and it will become gradually less difficult to make money. The important thing is to recognize when we need to get some help, to have someone listen, or just to stand back and step away when the hard edges of our lives that can wear us down.
This thread really isn't about making money, but about helping others learn and understand, and building trust and relationships and moving forward together. So if you feel the need to talk about things, go to your family or friends, or even email me. If you know someone who is struggling, reach out to them. After all, all we really have is each other.
