Of course they are, just as the US hedonically massaged statistical muddle is a science fiction wrapped inside a fairy tale.

But, hey, guess what, the Nasdaq did reach 5000 and there are plenty of million dollar homes in the US, just as oil usage did double and power generation did same in seven years in China.

Never believe government numbers on GDP, a math artifact of a meaningless aggregate.
