Hmm... Ok, from your personal perspective, I would say that:

a. You have a very positive attitude (which is refreshing)

b. You are an optimist.

All things being equal, I would agree with you.

However, I was generalizing when I was saying that those "have-nots" are probably in a dead end situation with few choices. You on the other hand the job you described was a temporary "transitionary" position. Attitude and other background perspectives make a big change.

Fair enough.

The whole business about willing buyer and seller is the central issue in human affairs. We are in transition from the old dominance hierarchy confiscatory tribal systems to one of peace, light, harmony, happiness, prosperity, longevity and love where people are self-actualizing. Not many people have escaped the old-style yet.

True, but only partially since it depends on the attitude each individual takes. As you say only a few hold such view.

The reality for many in the third world is a lot worse... Like I said many of these jobs are the only available and they have no prospects for improvement. Much depends on said attitude we touched on.

bit of Colinisation is about to free many millions in Iraq and probably North Korea from the old style total repression.

Well... I wish I would shared the optimism of that view...

I do not meant to say that I would not like to see it that way

There are far deeper issues than just getting rid of a tyrant, who ironically, the US helped place in the position of El Supremo in the first place, (and allowed him to remain a few years ago)...

We are about to enter a new era not dissimilar with the cold war where the games of war and cloak and dagger were always in the background. Whatever peace dividend we were going to get, (if at all), for the end of said former cold war are now extinct.

Whatever hidden agenda each of the players may have will be hard to see with clarity.... oil... religion ... territory... new economic powers... China, Islam... Dinar… Dollar value, gold and so on…

I do not think the freedom you speak of will be that easily obtainable for those in whose countries the bombs are about to start falling...

I am wondering if one of those countries where the bombs are about to start falling would be right here in the US... not necessarily from a conventional source i.e. more like 9/11 style. This of course would change the character of this war...

So I personally do not see it as lightly as you seem to see it. The effects will be harsher than what we imagine and yes, I hope I am wrong and you are right... but...

I do like your attitude. It is what we will all need when the time to rebuild will come.
