The mistake is calling it a "war on drugs" it isn't. If you have a dirty toilet bowl, do you declare war on it ( dirty toilets) and clean it once - or does it require cleaning on a regular basis? How can you possibly argue that making drugs legal, will take the profit out of it? Prove it! Did making Opium legal in China (in the 19th Century) take the profit out of its importation?
