You are a good observer. I believe it, because of my heritage, my ancestors that were so fair and objective and allow both sides to be heard. And we talked so much as a family unit, the extended family I mean, about the worldwide condition, the human condition..
BTW, my grandparents on my father's side immigrated from Finland and on my mother's side from Sweden.. Both of whom made the "top ten" I see, I am not surprised... I got my objectivity honestly.. We had stacks of papers and magazines always around the house.. And we talked about what was happening in the world.. I always remember, as a little kid, the print picture of JFK, my sweet Finnish grandmother had hung in her living room of her modest ranch home.
And how she would prepare, with the families help, "care packages" of little essentials, soap, tooth paste, razors, etc.. we would send to Finland because they were so poor, BECAUSE they were paying off their "WAR DEBT" to the U.S.. The only country that DID so, as I understand it, because we are so honest as a group. AND WHY,
BECAUSE THEY, the little PROUD but TOUGH COUNTRY OF FINLAND had the the courage to FIGHT and damn near DEFEAT THE RUSSIANS, Nobody else that I know of has done so lately.. So therefore they become part of the AXIS powers, for no other REASON.. BUT being the good citizens of the world they are, they accepted that judgement, rightly or wrongly, they paid off..
And those values and heritage REMAIN with me.. DON"T bother me, and I will not bother you...
