I have an idea. Let the UN go with the German/French proposal and station UN troops in Iraq. Please note that NO US soldiers are to be in that group. But there is a requirement tacked on to that: if the US is attacked in any way by any Muslim group, we will waste Iraq immediately, with no warning.
