It really wasn't such a big deal. When I was checking into selected press releases put out by RFI, I decided that one of the people I would call was Dr. Lampert. He simply explained that his words were taken out of context. He felt there was a good future for switchable glazings, but he didn't endorse SPD specifically or as the best solution. I don't remember the exact words (as this was several years ago), but it is certain that RFI's press release was misleading.
