Little blurp in canadian paper today.. Saudis plan to ask US to leave once Saddam goes away or Iraq is unarmed.. They also are thinking of some reforms that will have public participation in terms of elected body to counter clerics hold on social change..

Other changes happening there (from some one who has worked there for at least 13 years and is still there.. As you know a lot of highly paid positions in Saudis in terms of technical and specialized skills are staffed by foreigners.. Pressure has been mounting to gradually get rid of them.. Hence, on contract expiry it is harder to get extension and working environment has now a lot more stress (train a Saudi to take over your job) so at least one person I know has decided gravy train is almost over and time to get back to North America)
