Geof, regarding your point about Gigabit Ethernet to the Desktop not taking off until UTP standards are set (and that the standards discussions for this are not going well), well Fibre Channel does not have that problem. It can run at 1 gps speed over single mode fiber, multimode fiber, miniature coax, video coax, and twisted pair. Regards, Steve
