CALGARY, Feb. 10 /CNW/ - Following is the chronological order of Flag's drilling program commencing on its 70,000 acres in the Wanapitei Anomaly.
1. Rathbun Lake, Rathbun Township - Exploring area, up to 100 feet west of Rathbun Lake Surface Occurrence (Ni, Cu, Pt, Pd, Ag and Au) to a vertical depth of 500 feet.
2. Six miles north, in area of Jess Lake gold deposit, Mackelcan Township a) Drilling parallel 50 degree angle hole, 50 feet (16 meters) north of a drill hole, at Colbalt Hill, which intersected 58 feet (17.7 meters) of 0.146oz (5 grams) of gold per ton, from 82 feet (25 meters) to 140 feet (43 meters). Colbalt Hill is, approximately, 400 feet east of the Jess Lake gold deposit. b) Exploring Jess Lake gold deposit to a vertical depth of 2000 feet, and drill hole will also be exploring for projected source of nickel, copper and gold - bearing sulfides, which are found in pyrite rich quartz veins at Cobalt Hill. c) Exploring VLF ground conductors, extending for 2300 feet, from 75 feet south of the Jess Lake gold deposit south into adjoining Jones Lake. d) Exploring for continuity of gold - bearing sulfides between the Jess Lake gold deposit and Cobalt Hill which are in the same east - west alteration zone.
