when I say "product", I am talking about anything that brings in revenues. So when I say "viable", I am asking do they have a product (or technology) that will overcome market inertia and pay the bills. The next question would be whether or not it is a viable company. Even if they have a viable product, if they are a one hit wonder and there is an actual market for the product, they will quickly be overtaken by the competition. I think that you have to admit that they don't have the quickest turnaround for products that give a decent ROI.
