I have the stocks' price histories stored on disk and partitioned in lists by sector and industry. The software maintains the lists as they've been inserted. They were originally provided by AIQ in those sectors and I rearranged them according to the IBD layout. I've maintained the lists since 1994, and the software automates calculating the values for the groups and the breadth, such as McClellans, A/D line, and so on.

The Price Phase Indicator is similar to the MACD. It's the percentage difference between the 12-day EMA and the 49-day EMA of the closing price. You can track a very similar number using the Percentage Price Oscillator (PPO) on stockcharts.com and just note the change in trend when the value starts to go up or starts down. See the chart below.

haven't posted the Trading Channel Index (TCI) yet but that's also used to identify cycle bottoms. it usually behaves similar to the Price Phase Indicator as an oscillator.
