Maurice, according to ets.freetranslation.com

"heil and sieg" means
"heal and victory" in English.

I guess Chinese do have a unique way to show respect to their leaders and elders. This may have something to do with Confucian, believe it or not. Chinese children should never call their parents by name, not even first name. and call people one generation older than themselves as Uncle or aunt even if do not really know them. Not like in Western culture, call their name is just fine, and this would be considered Rude in Chinese culture.
